Courts 1 and 2 need repining – Les Liberda will be doing this next year

Cleanliness of courts

-          Complaint that they are not being kept clean

-          Start with messaging to see if this works. If not might need to put a bin

AGM date

Request to move to summer to get more people, however, it needs to be at financial year end so cant be moved

 

Committee membership

Alan Levey to be asked to rejoin the committee – he’s keen to come back. Possibly as Social Secretary? Colin will ask him.

Caversham tennis club lease isn’t going to renewed, so the club is shutting

-          Question around whether they had flood lights we could have?

Second signatory of cheques

Currently don’t have a second signatory who is a member at the club. It was agreed to appoint Jeremy Wright, Committee Member and Team Captain, as a signatory to the Club Accounts in place of Former Chairman Peter Handley, who resigned some time ago and whose present whereabouts is unknow.

We also confirm that Colin Michael Pugsley is an approved signatory for the Club’s Barclays Accounts.

 

Floodlights

Quotes received

-          Poles you push up (4m high) to full lighting system

-          £12-13,000 to £46,000 (3 courts)

-          Considering bottom 2 courts + 1 top one nearest the club house

-          Agreed to go for planning permission for all courts with the aim to get approved as minimum the bottom 2 courts and the top 1 nearest the club house.

-          It was agreed that we should get full lighting system on the 2 bottom courts in the first instance, and then if/when funds allow, start on the top courts.
